Visiting Teaching was one of the things i remember my mother would diligently and faithfully do when I was young. One day she had to take me as her companion to visit a sister in our branch. I had felt brave, special and important when my mother asked me to give the opening prayer.
Sunday,July 26,2009--My Visiting Teaching companion was not available to come with me today, it was quite a late notice so i thought that i would ask one of my daughters to help me perform a very important duty. Shelley gladly accepted my invitation to visit teach with me. It was a fun and a spiritual time for both of us. We shared and discussed with Sisters Irina and Helena about the blessings of the temple, even Shelley participated sharing that she couldn't wait to turn 12 so she can also go to the temple and be baptized for the dead.
I wonder what she would feel when she read this journal entry someday when she already has her own children. As for me, my mother did not tell me stories of how i helped her Visit Taught a sister when i was young neither was there any journal to read but that experience was written in my heart and the feelings of joy and comfort help strengthen my faith and gave me hope for the spiritual welfare of my own children.
